Nationalistic Pride: Sweet Escape from Bitter Imprisonment

This serves as an avenue for individuals, especially those who aspire to become teachers as well as learners, to acquire knowledge that would enable them to uphold their sense of national identity and patriotism, venerate the value of education, and become proud Filipinos. This opens the door to learning about Dr. Jose Rizal, the national hero and his most significant and influential political novel, Noli Me Tangere. The site introduces readers to the characters of Noli Me Tangere, emphasizes the book's significance in liberating the Filipino people from the oppression of the Spanish, and shares fascinating facts regarding the book. Furthermore, the ultimate goal of this blog is to significantly improve teaching and learning.

Introduction on Noli Me Tangere:

The Jose Rizal Law, also known as Republic Act No. 1425, requires Jose Rizal's life, works, and writings to be taught in all Philippine educational institutions. Through an examination of Rizal's life, works, and writings, the law seeks to inspire young people to recommit themselves to the values of nationalism and freedom. On April 3, 1956, the Committee on Education submitted a senate bill, Republic Act No. 438, also referred to as the Rizal bill. The law made it clear that access to the unedited copies of the reading materials that have been clerically disputed would only be available to college students. The Rizal Bill was eventually passed on June 12, 1956, in spite of all the disputes, objections, and resistance.
